"this is my sidekick Drama (he earns his name-- he's the most human dog I have ever met in my life; don't put him in a kennel... just don't). We adopted him a year and a half ago, and it just feels like he has always been with me. He is sweetest, most loyal dog. I don't know how I've lived without him! He just turned six and is a boxer. He loves to drink out of the toilet and chase cats."

"This is my beautiful CARE girl Nyx. We just celebrated a year together on the 28th. I can't imagine life without her! She is the best snugGler, companion, and all around good girl."

"fostered for CARE and had a wonderful experience. Ziggy was a border collie mix who had been rescued after she was run over and had a broken hip and needed surgery. once she was healed enough, she came to live with me to rehab and socialize with my dog and two cats. We worked on climbing stairs, walking without a limp, and simple obedience training. I was so happy when she could run with me and keep up with no limp! I knew she was ready for a furr-ever home. she ended up finding her place with a physical therapist who worked with veterans who'd had hip replacements. A match made in heaven!"

"I adopted my cat craig through CARE, they were a wonderful organization to work with. Craig was found with his brothers and sisters in an alley downtown, a kind soul fostered all of them while they were adopted out through CARE. Craig has been happily ruling the high shelves and teasing the dogs of my home for a few years now."

"We adopted our big baby, Waylon, from CARE/Paws in Prison... he had a hard time finding his people. He was adopted out at least one other time and in Paws in Prison twice. He has a strict diet and high anxiety but thanks to my partner's (Rob) super-chill demeanor, Waylor has settled right in. We've had him for three years now. Waylon was just waiting for his own specific person and CARE never gave up."

"This is Pippa. We adopted her from CARE when she was about two years old (she's around seven now). She is absolutely the most perfect dog for our family. She was in the fostering system for a while-- I think because she’s shy and quiet— but I am so glad she waited for us because she is such a sweet part of our family.”

"We adopted Teddy from CARE in 2014. He plays fetch, is friendly with our neighbors, never met a sink he didn't like to drink from, and insists on taking nightly walks with our dog! We recently adopted Arlo from CARE.”
