Spay/Neuter Facts
Fact -- spaying and neutering SAVES LIVES because unwanted puppies and kittens do not survive. Or they manage to mature into unwanted dogs and cats who do not survive. Supply exceeds demand.
In communities throughout Arkansas -- throughout America -- animals wait in municipal or county shelters or humane society facilities. They wait for homes. Perhaps 50% will find one. The rest are euthanized.
Spay or neuter your pets! And you help to reduce the number of unwanted or lost or discarded or simply unlucky animals who will be euthanized for lack of a home — dogs and cats, puppies and kittens, all shapes, colors, sizes, ages, mixed breed and pure bred. They are euthanized to make room for more of them, again and again.
If you need more information, here are myths and facts about spaying and neutering.
