Chipper, 19-148's Bio

Chipper was initially a foster fail from Maumelle who, sadly, was returned when his owner fell ill. Another family took him in, but he and their small dog didn’t see eye to eye. Chipper found himself back at the shelter and was very, very sad. He loves people and is just a big, sweet teddy bear. He does have a pretty strong prey drive, so small dogs, small kids and cats are a no go. Older children and bigger dogs are perfect for him.

Chipper is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.

Chipper is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on December 19th. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
