Thanks to Megan Taylor For Giving Me a Second Chance!

Poncho, 19-142's Bio

Poncho is a sweet boy who is playful and sweet. He is a little nervous around new people, but will warm up quickly and be very affectionate. He is both food and toy motivated, and after his training, he's doing so much better. He is not as high energy like most labs are. He is with a foster right now and when Poncho is in a calm enviroment, he is a very good boy. At this point, though, I don’t think he’d be great with small children. Cats are an unknown, but he is learning how to be better around other dogs.

Poncho is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccinations. His adoption fee is $250.

Poncho is in the Paws in Prison program where he receives obedience training. He is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on December 4th. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive his training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, his daily training progress, and interactions with his trainers.
