Layla V, 19-082's Bio

Layla is a beautiful little spitfire of a pup who was a bit too much for her adopter (and the adopter’s neighbors). She spent a lot of time crated and had no outlet for her almost boundless energy. The plan is for her to go to Paws in Prison when we have an opening in early November. She needs to learn to focus and to use her brain for more appropriate and constructive activities (not barking non-stop). A little bit of training and a much more active family are all she needs to be an amazing dog!

Layla is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Her adoption fee will be $250.

Layla will be enrolled in the Paws in Prison program where she will receive obedience training. It is an 8 week program, so if all goes according to plan, she should graduate on January 4. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive her training journal. This journal documents everything from his entering the facility, her daily training progress, and interactions with her trainers.
