Minnow, 12-181's Bio

"Hi, my name is Minnow!

I had a rough start in life. I was found under a car mangy, starving, covered in fleas and motor oil, and so anemic my tongue and everything was white. The nice lady loaded me up in her car and took care of me! After that things definitely started looking up. That was then, and this is now! I have completed my treatments & I am a healthy, happy pup!

I do great with other dogs and love to play. The dog park is my favorite because of all the different types of dog to play with. I also get along with cats and LOVE kids. They are so much fun to play fetch with. I will fetch a ball all day long. I love car rides and walks and even am not a bad running partner.

I love toys and can play alone or with others either is ok. I don’t understand why some dogs shred them -- I guess they didn’t grow up on the street like me and not have toys. I also LOVE bones and rawhides to chew on.

I love to be around people. I have had enough alone adventures for a lifetime so I am happy to stay close to my human from now on. When we go play I tend to stay fairly close and check back often. When they are at home working or watching TV, I am content to just lie on the floor by their feet ... well, sometimes I lie ON on their feet. I am crate-trained and house-trained so I am ok to be by myself also…My Kong chew toy or rope toy are my favorite toys playing by myself.

I am VERY smart. So far the commands I know are “sit”, “here”, “wait” and “down”. I also know “go to your crate”, but I really like to have a treat waiting for me in there! I know what “cookie” means!"

Minnow is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He is house-trained and crate trained. Minnow will do best in an active home or one with another dog playmate. He is approximately 11 months old and weighs 45 pounds. Minnow's adoption fee is $150. [updated 1- 29-13]
