Minerva, 18-075's Bio

Minerva is a very sweet, playful young lady. She LOVES people and enjoys being as close as she possibly can! She doesn’t mind cats, but definitely likes to play with them too. She doesn’t mind dogs either! They can be great pals! Being that it’s summer, she’s definitely trying to work on her summer body. Being a stray hasn’t been too kind to her, so rather than shedding the pounds, she’s gotta put some on to fill out that life jacket! Minerva loves the water and requests that whoever adopts her has a kiddie pool, or just a pool in general, for her to lounge in. Minerva would do best with older kiddos. She’s still learning how to play gently after having been a street pup! Minerva is vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $250.Minerva is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 7/28/18.  The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Minerva’s training journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, her daily training progress, and her interactions with her trainers. If you are interested in meeting Minerva or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here: http://www.careforanimals.org/adoption-app.cfm
