Lavender, 17-021's Bio

Lavender is an active playful terrier mix! She loves to go on long walks and has wonderful manners on the leash. Lavender loves to make new people friends but would probably do best as an only dog.  After an afternoon hike Lavender loves to curl up, take a nap and serenade you with her snores! Lavender would love to be a part of your family! Lavender is up to date on all her vaccinations and tested light positive for heartworms. She will be re-tested in June to see if treatment is necessary. Please contact CARE today about making Lavender a part of your furever home!

Lavender is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption applications may be submitted now. Lavender’s adoption fee is $250.

Lavender is in the Paws in Prison program where she receives obedience training. She is expected to graduate from Paws in Prison on 05/05/17. The dogs in this program are trained under the AKC Canine Good Citizen standards and are specifically selected to be family and companion dogs. They spend 24 hours a day with their trainers. For that reason, they will do best in homes where they are primarily inside dogs and spend lots of time with their families. The adoptive family will receive Lavender’s training journal. This journal documents her arrival from the shelter, her daily training progress, and her interactions with her trainers. If you are interested in meeting Lavender or learning more about the adoption process, please visit our website and submit our online adoption application here:
