CARE'S PET REUNION PROGRAM
Thanks for visiting the gateway to our newest service for pet owners and Central Arkansas - CARE's Lost and Found Page. This unique program allows you to upload descriptions and PICTURES of pets you have either lost or found. It is currently in its test phase and our goal is to make this service the main service in Central Arkansas for reuniting pets with their owners. A big thanks to Karalin Rogers for designing the program.
When you entering lost or found cats and dogs, just a couple of rules to remember:
- The picture cannot be larger than 64K. To upload a picture, simply click on the "Browse" button and then navigate to the folder where your picture is stored (for example, if you have had the picture scanned to a floppy, navigate to your A drive). Once you have selected the picture, click on open and the location of the picture will be added to the "Add Entry" screen. Then all you do is click on "Submit" and the picture is automatically uploaded.
- WHEN ENTERING YOUR PHONE NUMBER, DO NOT USE HYPHENS. ALSO, ONLY ENTER ONE PHONE NUMBER WITH AREA CODE. IF YOU WANT TO ENTER ANOTHER NUMBER, DO IT IN THE DESCRIPTION SECTION.
- We will leave the insert up for 90 days and then take it down unless you ask us to keep it up longer.
- We would appreciate your letting us know if our website helped reunite a lost pet with his/her owner.
- It is helpful to leave out one descriptive item about the pet (i.e. like collar collar) so you will know if you have the right owner.
- Your can also place an ad in the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette lost and found. Lost and Founds ads are free and you can submit them online--Submit online classified ad.
Best of all, the service is FREE. Thanks for using it.
Need help getting your picture on-line? Stop by the CARE headquarters at 5516 Kavanaugh or you can mail a picture to CARE at P. O. Box 7604 - Little Rock, AR 72217-7604 along with a description and we will scan and post the information for you!
